Location: Knaresborough Leisure and Wellness Centre and Starbeck Baths
Grade/Band/pay scale: Grade B
Salary: £11.59 - £11.98 per hour
Hours per week: Part Time, 18 Hours per week split between Knaresborough and Starbeck
Contract type: Permanent
We are looking for a fun and passionate individual to join Brimhams Active as a Lifeguard to work at both our Knaresborough Leisure and Wellness Centre for 13 hours per week and Starbeck Baths 9 hours per week.
In this role, you will supervise customers in the pool areas, always remaining vigilant to ensure customer enjoy their time with us safely. You will be able to discuss safety measures with our guest confidently and be responsible for putting into practicing lifesaving skills and first aid as and when it is needed.
Your working pattern in this role may vary, and we are currently open Monday to Sunday, between 6am and 10pm therefore weekend working will be required.
We are looking for those who:
- Hold the NPLQ Lifeguard qualification
- Have a keen interest in swimming and the ability to swim confidently
- Showcase excellent communication skills
- Enjoy working collaboratively in a team
- Have the ability to solve problems by providing workable solutions
- Are extremely observant and attentive
This role will require the successful candidate to have a DBS check as part of our clearance process.
