About Personalised Learning College

PLC is a county-wide, person-centred programme supporting young people aged 16+ with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We offer a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that empowers learners to follow personalised pathways toward independence, employment, and community participation.

Our learners engage in meaningful activities within their local communities, develop essential life skills, and build confidence through tailored support and opportunities.

Our Three Core Pathways:

  • Personal Progress – Focuses on independence, communication, and self-confidence.
  • Towards Independence – Builds functional skills, personal safety awareness, and community engagement.
  • Towards Employment – Prepares learners for the workplace through accredited qualifications and work experience, often leading to Supported Internships.

The Role

You will:

  • Provide excellent teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
  • Provide reports to evidence learning for EHCP reviews, ensuring the learner’s voice is central.
  • Supervise and coordinate the ATA and GTA support team within your sessions.
  • Champion person-centred planning and ensure learners are supported to achieve their goals.
  • Safeguard our vulnerable young people.

What We’re Looking For

Are you:

  • Committed to inclusive education and learner empowerment.
  • Skilled and experienced in teaching young people with SEND.
  • Experienced in the challenges that young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties face.
  • Experienced in working with young people with EHCPs.
  • Organised, proactive, and passionate about personalised learning.
  • Resilient and can work in a high pressured and sometimes challenging environment

Then we’d like to hear from you.

At PLC, you will be part of a vibrant, supportive team making a real impact. You will help young people access local learning opportunities that lead to community participation, independent living, and employment.
