Music Centre Instructor - Vocals

Salary: £22,601 to £35,259 per annum pro rata

Grade:  Unqualified Teachers Pay Scale 
Contract Type: Fixed term until August 2028

Hours: Saturdays 9.30am to 12.30pm (3.5 hours)
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire

 

 

Harrogate Music Centre is looking for an inspiring and passionate music tutor with experience in vocal coaching, to teach on Saturday mornings (from 9am to 12:30pm) and to lead our Youth Choir as well as the Early Years courses (from 2 to 5 years old)

About the service

We are a thriving music centre, with a longstanding tradition of producing excellent ensembles, for all ages and level of ability. Due to our current Early Years Music Education practitioner leaving, we are looking for a vocal tutor with experience working with young musicians.

 

About the role

We will welcome candidates from a wide range of musical backgrounds and prior experience, the only requisite is vocal experience and ability to facilitate groups of children as young as 2.

Training and guidance will be provided as needed, to support the right candidate during their first year in the role, should they need to develop their group teaching skills.

The music centre meets for 30 Saturday per year (approximately 10 each term) and performs a range of concerts across the whole year, from Christmas, Easter and Summer showcases.
