Salary/ Hourly Rate: Grade CD, £12.00 - £12.38 per hour, £23,114 - £23,893 per annum full time equivalent

Our opportunity
You will be working closely with our Senior Science Technician and Science Teachers to make sure that equipment and materials are set up ready for engaging practical lessons that bring the curriculum to life.
 
As well as being responsible for materials, you will get to be a part of the action too, supporting staff and pupils in the lessons. Providing advice and ensuring all faculty Health and Safety protocols are adhered to.
 
The main duties in this post will include:
 
  • Working under the direction of the science department lead to support practical lessons and help keep each department’s resources stocked, tidy and well-maintained.
  • The successful applicant will have an enthusiastic, positive attitude, able to work using their own initiative and be willing to turn their hand to many different types of tasks. 
  • Assisting with all aspects of maintaining and facilitating resources for the science departments’ lessons, plus some administrative tasks associated with this.
  • Previous experience of working within a secondary school is preferred but not essential.
