Salary: From £32,076 up to £35,745 per annum pro rata 

Location: Northallerton

Hours: 30 hrs

Contract: Temporary Contract to cover maternity leave which will end on 21st July 2025 (This could be a secondment opportunity for the right person, you will need to get approval from your line manager before applying)

 

Do you have extensive experience of working with young people aged 16-25 leaving care and want to make a difference to the lives of young care leavers?  Do you have experience of working with young people with complex needs, have experience of working within multi-agency services and have a sound knowledge of Leaving Care legislation and guidance.

 

If you answered yes to all of these, you may be the right person for this position.

 

You will join a small but dedicated team based in Northallerton but also be part of a large County Wide team covering the whole of North Yorkshire.  We are proud to be an outstanding Leaving Care Team and Local Authority and work in a strong, strength based relationship practice.

 

You will manage a case load of young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years old. This will include reviewing and co-ordinating the young person’s pathway plan, acting as an advocate for the young person when required, referring to other relevant services  and always striving for the best outcomes for each young person whilst working flexibly to meet their needs. 

 

 You need to have a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and follow procedures when required and be able to maintain appropriate records and management information.
