We are looking for a Plumber to join our Housing Standards Team to work within our Improvements team across the county.

Our team works across five key areas of housing expertise: construction, repairs, improvements, contract management, and safety. We manage a diverse range of housing assets, including approximately 8,400 domestic homes, independent living schemes, community centres, and temporary accommodation for the homeless.
The role
The core focus of this role is to carry out essential improvement works on social housing stock to ensure they meet the Decent Housing Standards.
At Plumber Single Trade level, you will:
· Carry out domestic plumbing repairs.
· Record and monitor supplied equipment as necessary.
· Work to expected Health & Safety standards and safe systems of work.
· Undertake professional, mandatory, and skills-based training.
At Multi Skilled Plumber level you will:
· To carry out maintenance and repair plumbing & heating work as per work orders or specification.
· To carry out maintenance and repair work for the secondary trade in which you are trained.
· Record and monitor supplied equipment as necessary.
· Work to expected Health & Safety standards and safe systems of work.
· Undertake professional, mandatory, and skills-based training.
At this grade further specialist training may be provided to meet the service needs.
The role will come with a Council vehicle, you will be responsible for carrying out routine vehicle safety checks as required and must ensure compliance with requirements relating to vehicle use and maintenance.
What you will bring
Single Trade Plumber: You must have relevant qualifications and experience in a specialist trade relating to domestic plumbing operations, along with experience working in a domestic setting and be familiar with materials, tools and machinery used in the repair, maintenance, or construction of homes. You must have knowledge of understanding of Health and Safety and Building Regulation, and always communicate efficiently and courteously at all levels.
At Multi-Skilled Trade level, you would carry out the above duties but also have experience and a qualification in another trade such as Joiner.
You will be able to provide an out of hours emergency plumbing service on a rota basis.
