About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated School Cook to join our catering team at Kingswood Parks Primary School.

You’ll play a key role in preparing and cooking high‑quality, home‑cooked meals using locally sourced produce, ensuring our students and staff enjoy healthy, balanced meals every day.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals
  • Serving meals to pupils and staff
  • Managing and supporting your kitchen team
  • Ordering food and managing stock
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Completing all required documentation in line with our Food Safety Management System

This is a busy kitchen serving over 400 meals per day, including catering for complex allergies, so strong allergen management experience is essential.

 

Hours & Pay

  • 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Flexible working between 7:30am – 2:00pm
  • No weekend work!
  • Term‑time only, with equal monthly pay throughout the year
  • £13.47 per hour, with incremental pay increases in line with council pay scales
  • Annual leave and bank holidays included within your salary entitlement
