Salary: £7,519.08 / £7,880.84 Per annum

Hours: Part Time, 15 Hours per week.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly organised individuals to join our friendly and supportive team at Northstead Community Primary School. These permanent, term-time only positions offer an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of our school.

 

Hours: 15 hours per week (between 8:30am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday – exact hours to be agreed at interview)

Contract: Term-Time Only (39 weeks to include training days), Permanent Salary:

· Post 1: Administrator. Grade C/D SCP 3-6 £24,796 - £25,989 pro rata, Actual £7,519.08 -

£7,880.84. Hourly rate £12.85 - £13.47

· Post 2: Senior Administrator. Grade E SCP 6 – 9 £25,989 - £27,254 pro rata, Actual £7,880.84 -

£8,264.44. Hourly rate - £13.47 - £14.13

As a part of the administration team you will be a central part of the school’s administrative functions, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of various administrative matters.

The senior administrative role will oversee some aspects of the financial running of school and will work under the direction of the office manager and the Headteacher.

The school administrator will oversee administration relating to provision for children with SEND and work under the direction of the office manager and the SENCO.

Post 1 – School Administrator (Grade C/D)

(SEND Administration)

You will:

  • Provide efficient and professional administrative support across the school.
  • Manage day-to-day office tasks, including handling enquiries, maintaining records, and supporting staff and pupils.
  • Assist with data monitoring and data entry to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and well-organised school office environment.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Is confident using IT systems and has strong attention to detail.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with a wide range of people.
  • Works well under pressure and can prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Is friendly, approachable, and committed to supporting our school community.

 

Post 2 – Senior Administrator (Finance) (Grade E) You will:

  • Take responsibility for financial administration, including processing invoices, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Liaise with suppliers and ensure compliance with school financial policies and procedures.
  • Support the Headteacher and leadership team with financial reporting and planning.
  • Assist with procurement and resource management to ensure best value.
  • Provide general administrative support when required.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in financial administration or a similar role.
  • Is highly numerate and confident working with budgets and financial systems.
  • Pays close attention to detail and ensures accuracy in all tasks.
  • Can work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Is proactive, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
