Do you have a passion for books, reading and working with people?  Are you a good communicator with experience of delivering high quality services to the public?  As Library Supervisor Supermobile you will be delivering frontline library services from our mobile library (our vehicle is 10m long and weighs 10 tonnes) including activities and events to meet local and council priorities. 

You will be responsible for driving the vehicle and delivering frontline services from agreed locations across North Yorkshire.  You will be lone working for most working hours so will be expected to be able to prioritise your own work within an agreed framework and use own judgement and discretion on the most appropriate action where necessary.  Base for this post is Library Headquarters at Northallerton and off-road time will be spent planning and developing activities, managing stock and providing some cover for branch posts as required on an ad hoc basis.

A clean LGV Class C licence with Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) alongside literacy, numeracy and IT skills equivalent to level 2 are essential.  
A flexible approach to working including weekends, evening and location is also required.
