Are you an EP who is interested in making real change for children, young people and families at individual and systems level?

This is an exciting time within North Yorkshire Council’s Educational Psychology service. We are a valued team within the Council and are committed to growing our team to provide a broad and effective service to make a difference to the lives of children and young people.    We are looking for innovative psychologists to join us in shaping the direction of our educational psychology service and who want to work in systemic and values based approaches.

About the role

As an Educational Psychologist you will join our central Educational Psychology team, and work within a locality alongside a wider multi-agency team.  Currently, our roles include working with schools and clusters to provide early intervention and support in line with the emerging Experts at Hand approach.

Our growing service has afforded opportunity to work creatively and systemically and engage in a number of projects such as working in the Best Start in Life strategy, with military families, around children missing education (EBSA) and transition work.   We have dedicated service development time and CPD aligned with our vision of practice.  Our vision, is to develop a creative educational psychology offer, underpinned by consultation, empowering others, and sustainability.

It really is a great time to join our growing and ambitious service and contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND in North Yorkshire.

What you will bring

To be successful you must be a creative and forward-thinking psychologist with the knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and willingness to use psychological frameworks to facilitate positive change. You must have a masters or doctorate level qualification in Educational Psychology and be registered with the HCPC.
