Improvement Manager

Salary: £49,764 - £53,817 per annum

We are looking for a strong candidate to take up the role of Improvement Manager, based in Brompton-on-Swale

 

The Role

 As an Improvement Manager you will be liaising and collaborating with our delivery partners to develop positive relationships and improve delivery performance across our Highways North Yorkshire partnership. This is a key element of the role as well as fostering good relationships with Elected Members and the wider community of stakeholders we engage with. 

The main focus of the role will be to manage the delivery of Capital Maintenance & Improvement Schemes for which you will have proven skills in project management of the delivery of highway related schemes under NEC 4 contracts with strong budget management.

You will also assist in delivering our winter service in your capacity as duty manager on a standby rota basis as well as assisting with other emergencies as such the role will include some occasional out of hours working.

What You Will Bring:

To be successful you must:     

  • Achieved an HNC/HND in an appropriate technical discipline or similar appropriate qualifications·      
  • Ability to deputise for Area Manager·       
  • Significant relevant Highways Experience·      
  • Experience of scheme identification, justification, design and supervision·      
  • Experience of budgetary control 
  • Experience in NEC 4 Project Management    
  • Able to relate to general public·      
  • Customer focussed·      
  • Political awareness 

Successful candidates will be required to carry out NEC 4 Project Management Accreditation upon appointment if qualification has not already been achieved.
