The role is Hybrid working with a combination of home working together with minimum 2 days per week in an office base at one of our newly formed local transformation hubs at Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough and Selby

 

About the Role:

The core focus of this job is to manage, with direction, the planning and implementation of designated projects and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

 This will involve working with a wide variety of stakeholders, coordinating project resources through the delivery stages of agreed projects using the council’s established project management methodology.

Postholders at the higher level of this career-graded role will take on more complex and/or higher-priority projects and will operate with greater autonomy.

Whether you're experienced or just starting out, this career-graded role offers real development opportunities and the chance to work on a wide range of projects, from social care and housing to HR, finance, and technology.

The key aspects to this role are;

·       Support the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, using established project management methodologies and documentation practices.

·       Monitor project progress, produce regular reports, and proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and changes, escalating when necessary.

·       Contribute to service improvement initiatives and lead project reviews and lessons learned to enhance future project outcomes.

·       Assist in managing project budgets, direct multi-skilled teams, and ensure efficient use of resources to meet delivery goals.

·       Build strong relationships with internal teams and third parties, manage project staff, and foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
