Trainee Educational Psychologists – Harrogate area

Grade: Soulbury Trainee Educational Psychologists 2-6

Salary: From £29,872 up to £37,473 per annum
Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Location: Hambleton, Richmond, Harrogate, Selby, Craven and Scarborough/Whitby/ Ryedale. The service very much promotes flexible working with the ability to work remotely from a range of bases across North Yorkshire, as well as working from home. We provide exceptional technology, providing all the equipment to support home based working to ensure efficiency, and effective service delivery.

 

 

North Yorkshire Educational Psychology Service are seeking Trainee Educational Psychologists (TEPs), to join us in September 2025. 

 

North Yorkshire is a unique team, with a range of expertise from the UK and overseas.  We are passionate about delivering a creative applied psychology service.   We have grown from 2.2 fte in 2022 to a team of over 15 full time equivalent staff.  We strongly believe that Trainee EPs and links with the university brings a huge benefit to our service and that TEPs are essential members of a creative 21st century EP team.

We are seeking applications from Trainee Educational Psychologists in Year 2 or 3 who:  

 

·       Want to make a difference to the outcomes of children and young people

·       Are innovative and reflective practitioners

·       Apply psychology creatively

·       Want to be part of, and influence, the growth of the EP team offer

You must hold an Honours degree in Psychology and be expected to successfully complete Year 1 of the Educational Psychology Doctorate. It is also anticipated that you will complete your Doctoral qualification and be registered with the HCPC as a ‘Practitioner Psychologist’ at the end of your 3-year doctoral course. As part of this role, you will be expected to hold a full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle as you will be required to travel to settings out in the community.
