Job Title: Business Support Officer-Housing Delivery Scarborough

Salary: £25,183 - £26,409 pro rata, per annum

Grade: E

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time, 14.5 hours per week on a Monday and Friday only

Location: Scarborough Town Hall

Weekend Working: No

 

We are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to assist with the new Selective Licensing area in Scarborough. Selective Licensing sits within the Housing Standards Service, which aims to improve housing standards ensuring all privately rented accommodation is well managed, properly maintained, safe and habitable.

You will be a critical member of the Housing Standards Service, supporting the administration involved with Selective Licensing, by processing the licence applications, uploading information and documents onto the data management system. You will also assist the Selective Licensing Officers with keeping databases up to date.

To be successful you must have good keyboard skills and experience in Word, Excel, Databases and Outlook. You must also have good literacy and numeracy skills, be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised and have the ability to work independently whilst part of a small team.

During the training period you will be required to work in the office (Scarborough Town Hall) 5 days a week Monday to Friday. Once training is complete you will be able to move to hybrid working. You will be required in the office twice a week.
