 Are you customer focussed with a passion for working with people and books? Do you have an interest in library services and their communities and are you tech savvy?  As a Relief Library Assistant providing cover for the absence of library assistants you will support the delivery of library and information services working alongside and supporting volunteers to ensure a high-quality service, support the delivery of activities and events, assist customers to access online information and resources and encourage use by a wide range of customers.

You will be passionate about reading, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a range of partners including volunteers, the ability to deliver a customer focussed service, and have literacy and numeracy equivalent to Level 2.  

Based at Richmond the library is open 34 hours per week, Monday –Saturdays, including late evenings, availability to work across all opening hours is essential. There may be an occasional requirement to travel elsewhere within the area for which expenses will be payable.
