Are you an aspiring teaching assistant or childcare student looking to develop experience working with children?
Join us at Oakridge CP School where learning flourishes in the heart of nature
Now is the most exciting time to become part of Oakridge CP School. Nestled in the beautiful village of Hinderwell—between the dramatic North Yorkshire Moors and the stunning coastline—we are continuing on a dynamic journey of improvement, recognised in our recent Ofsted visit which graded us Good in all areas.
We are a small, nurturing primary school with a big vision. Our inclusive setting caters for children aged 3 to 11, organised into two classes:
- Acorns (Nursery to Year 2)
- Oak (Years 3 to 6)
Our learning environment is second to none. With expansive grounds and a thriving Garden School Curriculum, our children are immersed in outdoor learning that builds resilience, independence, and a deep connection to the natural world.
We believe every child deserves the very best education—and we work collaboratively with the Yorkshire Endeavour Academy Trust (YEAT), the Yorkshire Endeavour English Hub, and Lealholm – our Little Wandle Champion School—to access outstanding CPD and support.
We’re proud to be part of a vibrant local community. Our pupils regularly visit nearby farms and churches, and we host events that bring families and neighbours together.
