Cleaning Supervisor – Harrogate Convention Centre
Salary: £30,559 - £33,366 per annum (£15.84 - £17.29 per hour)

Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC), located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Harrogate, is one of the UK’s premier event venues. Hosting a variety of events such as conferences, exhibitions, and entertainment, the centre is a world-class and adaptable venue.
Role Overview:
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be key to ensuring the seamless operation of events at Harrogate Convention Centre.
You will report directly to the Cleaning Services Manager and will oversee a team of cleaning operatives, which includes both in-house staff and contractors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a high standard of cleanliness for the venue and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and motivate the cleaning team, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support the operational needs of the venue.
- Produce staff rotas and arrange additional personnel as necessary to meet event or venue requirements.
- Lead a team during shifts, ensuring all cleaning duties are completed and customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Maintain and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as required.
- Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are stored in compliance with COSHH and other relevant regulations.

- Proven experience in supervising large cleaning teams, preferably within an events environment.
- A positive, proactive, and friendly approach with the ability to motivate others.
- Strong knowledge of regulations such as COSHH and other health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks for yourself and your team, and follow instructions as part of a team.

Please note: This role requires regular evening and weekend work.
