With sustainable practices already a crucial part of the world of construction, we are looking for a Sustainability Engineer to provide their knowledge and expertise in the delivery of sustainability projects at Align Property Services.
You will be responsible for the implementation, delivery and management of sustainability, net zero and decarbonisation related studies and projects that Align is involved with as well as playing a part in the growth of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to meet project deliverables, fostering a cohesive team environment. Additionally, you will manage project budgets, forecasts, and client communications to maintain transparency and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include producing detailed reports, funding bids, and project documentation, which are crucial for securing resources and tracking progress.

To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:
· Hold a degree in a relevant discipline, with post qualification experience.
· Understanding of managing decarbonisation projects, project reporting and forecasting project expenditure.
· Experience of decarbonisation studies and related financial calculations and reporting.
· Knowledge of net zero projects, ideally in a project management capacity.
· Experience of bid writing and submission of government or private funding and investment.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
· Be able to produce documents in a range of formats and styles to suite a range of audiences.
· Shows commitment to building strong, professional client relationships and proactively identifies and resolves client’s issues.
· Be a strategic thinker with solution based problem solving skills.
· Be IT proficient, including the use of Microsoft packages
· Hold a full UK driving license.
