Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) is one of the UK’s most high-profile event venues, nestled in the unique Victorian Spa town of Harrogate. This uniquely flexible world-leading facility hosts events, conferences, exhibitions and must-see entertainment.
The role:
As our Cleaning Supervisor you will play a critical role in the smooth operational delivery of events at Harrogate Convention Centre.
Reporting to the Cleaning Services Manager, you will independently supervise and motivate a large team of cleaning operatives consisting of both venue staff and contractors to deliver a high standard of cleaning for the venue and all of the events we host.
- You will be available to and comfortable working with evening and weekend shifts, often opposite to the Cleaning Services Manager.
- You will produce staff rotas and source personnel as required inline with the event or venue requirements.
- You will be responsible for leading a shift of cleaners, ensuring that all required tasks are completed whilst delivering the highest standards of customer care and satisfaction for all users of the venue.
- You will maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment and complete orders as required.
- You will ensure all cleaning materials and chemicals are stored in accordance with COSHH and other regulations.
What you will bring:
- You will have demonstrated experience supervising large teams of cleaners, preferably in an events environment.
- You will have a positive, can do and friendly attitude and be able to motivate others.
- You will have a thorough knowledge of all relevant regulations such as COSHH.
- You will be able to work unsupervised, leading a team prioritising your own workload and that of others and be able to work as part of a team following instruction.
This post involves regular evening and weekend working.
