As a Housing Officer on the Income Team, you will be supporting the Income Management Team to deliver a high quality service that responds to customer and organisational needs, with a particular focus on Income Management.
You should have recent experience of rent arrears, collection and managing account debts and credits in a dedicated area. Along with an understanding of Universal Credit and other Welfare benefits.
Working in a small team you should possess good communication skills, be organised, flexible and helpful with a commitment to developing your skills and knowledge.
You will need to be flexible in reacting to the needs of the service and be efficient and organised in prioritising your workload, coupled with an assertive yet sensitive approach.
You should have a clean driving licence and use of a vehicle for which an appropriate allowance is payable. The role will be based in the Harrogate Civic Centre in addition to Working from Home. This post will require a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for which Harrogate Borough Council will pay.
