The Opportunity
The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Skills Programme Lead to support our Adult Skills Team in the design, development and delivery of a range of skills programmes, focussing primarily on the devolved Adult Skills Fund, Free Courses for Jobs and Skills Bootcamp programmes.
The Adult Skills Team work in partnership with Local Authorities, Government Departments and other key skills stakeholders to ensure the Combined Authority has a strong and robust strategic and evidence led approach to skills investment that addresses the challenges and ambitions of our growing economy, and strong performance management of our delivery partners.
What you will bring
· A good understanding and knowledge of the skills landscape
· Significant experience of planning and delivering large projects with a range of stakeholders
· Strong knowledge and experience of programme and project management
· Experience of financial management, budget control and monitoring
· Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
· Strong leadership and management skills
