Hours/ Working Pattern: 30 hours per week (25 GTA & 5 HLTA) 8:30 – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday, Term time only
Salary/ Hourly Rate: 
  • GTA Grade CD, £13.28 - £13.47 per hour
  • HLTA Grade F, £14.13 - £15.06 per hour

Our vision is to provide a bespoke educational setting for up to sixteen children across two classes with EHCPs within inclusive mainstream settings. Our Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our school. This role will primarily involve working as a General Teaching Assistant within one of our wonderful EYFS classes. You will also undertake Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) responsibilities, either within EYFS or Key Stage 1, to cover teachers’ planning time.
 
Key duties include supporting the teacher in delivering and preparing materials for engaging and inclusive lessons and activities, as well as helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
 
Working under the guidance of the class teacher, you will support pupils in whole-class settings and in small groups, providing targeted learning support to enable all pupils to fully engage in their learning and reach their potential.
 
In addition, as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will plan and deliver learning activities that inspire and engage whole classes during teacher absence (such as PPA time or short-term cover). You will monitor pupils’ progress and support the teacher in reporting on their achievements, development and outcomes. This includes providing timely and accurate feedback to the class teacher on pupils’ progress during learning activities.
 
You will have:
  • Relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant status or Qualified Teacher Status is essential to undertake the HLTA duties (or a willingness to undertake the training in order to complete these duties)
  • An awareness of child/young person’s development and learning 
  • An understanding that children/Young people have differing needs
  • Experience appropriate to working with children in a learning environment
