Ingleton Primary School Teaching Vacancy – Class Teacher – Part-time (0.6) and SENDCo (0.2)

MPS/UPS dependent upon experience & SEN allowance for SENDCo role

Set in the heart of Ingleton, surrounded by our beautiful and extensive school grounds, our school is a place where learning truly comes to life – both indoors and out. We are more than a school; we are a nurturing, joyful community that believes every child has unique potential waiting to flourish. Our vision is rooted in outdoor learning and meaningful connections with nature, helping children grow in confidence, curiosity and resilience.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and inspirational class teacher to join our team from September. This is a part-time post (0.6 FTE) and may be based in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on experience and strengths. The SENDCo role will be one day per week, and we welcome applications from candidates wishing to combine this with the class teacher position, or from those interested in the SENDCo role as a separate appointment. We are flexible in our approach. Please make it clear in your application if you are applying for SENDCo, class teacher or both.

You will be joining a dedicated, passionate and exceptionally supportive staff team who work closely with parents, governors and the wider community to provide the very best for our children. If you have a proven track record of high quality teaching and a commitment to helping every child reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you. High aspirations and high expectations for all learners are essential.

We can offer:

  • A warm, welcoming school with high standards and a strong capacity for continued improvement
  • A passionate team who value collaboration, creativity and professional growth
  • Excellent opportunities for CPD, supported by a leadership team committed to developing all staff
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking children who love learning
  • Supportive governors who champion teamwork and innovation
  • A vibrant, engaged community of parents, carers and friends

Most importantly, we offer a school where children are at the heart of every decision, where staff genuinely care for one another, and where our motto – “Tall oaks from little acorns grow” – is lived out every day.

We warmly encourage you to come and see us in action. Visits to the school are welcomed on:

  • Tuesday 12th May at 4.00pm, or
  • Wednesday 13th May at 2.30pm

Please ring Miss Jen Middleton, Headteacher, if you have any questions or would like to discuss the role further. We would be delighted to show you around – we think we’re a pretty special place, and we’d love you to experience it for yourself. We look forward to meeting you.
