We are looking for a Regeneration Officer who will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of regeneration programmes. Your role will assist the Council and wider Community Development Directorate in delivering its ambition make amazing places that work for residents and visitors alike.

Our Service

The Council’s Regeneration Service plays a fundamental role in delivering the Council’s plans and ambitions on Place & Environment, Economy, Health & Wellbeing and People. This includes work on creating connected and thriving places, economic growth and ensuring North Yorkshire receives its fair share of resources so that people and communities can achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Regeneration Officer you will assist in the development of strategic plans, funding applications and ensuring that capital programmes of work are delivered within budget, programme and quality standards.

You will also:

·       Provide assistance with the writing of reports including advising of progress, risks and issues.

·       Procure and work with consultants and contractors

·       To build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to meet objectives.

·       Assist/facilitate project team meetings and workshops.

 

What you will bring

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject area and or be able to demonstrate previous experience within a field relevant to regeneration and economic development.

You will also have:

·       Knowledge of current guidance and legislation with respect to economic development and regeneration.

·       Experience of project management from concept to completion.

·       Experience of working to deadlines, budgets and objectives.

·       Ability to interpret and understand data relating to the role and analyse and communicate findings.

·       Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to meet objectives.

·       Ability to travel within the North Yorkshire Council geography as required by the role
