Systems and Applications Operations Engineer

Salary: £29,064- £38,220 per annum

Grade: G - I

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire 

 

This is a hybrid role. You will be based at one of the key NYC offices; however, you may be required to travel across the county to support the service.

The Role:

As a Systems and Applications Operations Engineer you will be part of a large multi-faceted team sitting within the Council’s Technology department. Our overall aim is to ensure the effective operation of key management information systems, primarily our Revenues and Benefits systems.

You will act as a lead for nominated technology applications and systems. You will truly become a systems expert, working collaboratively with internal and external partners, organisations and third-party suppliers to help shape the current design and future developments of systems to meet business and statutory requirements. You will also be responsible for the successful testing and implementation of any new bespoke system developments, components and upgrade changes, as well as providing a professional, high quality, third line support service.

Occasional out of hours working may be required to support system upgrades and changes, as well as occasional travel to other NYC sites and supplier events.
