We have an opportunity for a catering and cleaning professional to join our award-winning NYES managed catering & cleaning team at Bewerley Park Outdoor Centre, Bewerley, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate HG3 5JB

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of staff to manage our Bewerley Park Outdoor Learning Centre’s catering and cleaning operations.  You will bring flair and creativity to the role in both the development of the menus and in providing the highest standard of cleaning and room set up, providing excellent customer service throughout, contributing to attracting new clientele as well as retaining existing clients.

As a Catering / Cleaning Manager you will deliver an effective service operating to the highest standards. You will manage and work with your team to provide tasty, nutritious, home-cooked meals made from locally sourced fresh produce. We are a ‘fresh food’ organisation offering children, young people and adults high quality, healthy and wholesome food, with the aim of increasing a diverse range of bookings.

You will also manage and work with your team to ensure the centre’s accommodation is cleaned and set up for customers to the highest standards, ensuring their stay is of high quality and comfortable throughout.

Your role will require you to deliver an effective catering and cleaning service to achieve budgeted financial performance, operating to high standards of food safety and cleanliness of the facilities. This will include:

  • preparing, cooking and serving meals to our customers, both young people and adults, as well as other kitchen management duties such as the supervision of staff, staff rotas, ordering of food and cleaning products, stocktaking and administration;
  • washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining room, setting out and putting away dining furniture;
  • assisting colleagues with cleaning and turning round accommodation as required.

The North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning Service is currently developing and looking to attract a wide and diverse clientele, and as such you will have the ability to recognise those opportunities and devise menu and service operations to suit, adapting and developing as the customer base emerges and develops. To be successful in this post, you will have a high degree of self-motivation and enthusiasm and the ability to work on your own initiative, whilst being part of a team to deliver a holistic package to our customers.
