Salary:  From £32,076 up to £35,745 per annum

Contract: Full time - 37 hours per week

Do you have extensive experience of working with young people aged 16-25 leaving care and want to make a difference to the lives of young care leavers?  Do you have experience of working with young people with complex needs and have extensive experience of working within multi-agency services? Do you have a sound knowledge of Leaving Care legislation and guidance as well as a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures for young people claiming asylum and that have refugee status? If you answered yes to all of these, you may be the right person for this position.

 

You will join a small, dedicated county wide team but be based in Selby. You will also be part of the wider leaving care team covering the whole of North Yorkshire and beyond. We are proud to be an Outstanding Leaving Care Team and Local Authority and work in a strength-based and relationship-based practice way.

 

You will manage a case load of young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years old. This will include reviewing and co-ordinating the young person’s pathway plan, acting as an advocate for the young person when required, referring to other relevant services and always striving for the best outcomes for each young person whilst working flexibly to meet their needs. You need to be able to maintain appropriate records and management information.
