General Teaching Assistant for EYFS

Grade C/D SCP 3-6 (Pro Rata)

Permanent Position, Term Time Only contract

The successful applicant will commence employment May 2025.

The governors at Richmond Methodist Primary and Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic EYFS General Teaching Assistant to join our exciting team of motivated and committed staff. The role is based in our growing Early Years Nursery and Reception Department.

The hours of employment are GTA 30 hours per week, MSA 2.5 hours per week and the working pattern is:

Monday – Friday 8.45am-3.45pm

Richmond Methodist Primary School are also opening a holiday club, there would be additional opportunity to work over the holidays and claim for these hours. We also have a wrap around care club where there is opportunity for additional hours.

The General Teaching Assistant plays a significant role in supporting the Early Years Practitioner to deliver our ‘planning in the moment’ curriculum together with working within the effective team to provide a nurturing, child centred and exciting learning environment in which children investigate and thrive.
