About NYES HR

North Yorkshire Education Services (NYES) HR is one of a number of traded services for Education settings, across the North of England.

The world of Education is rapidly changing presenting challenge and opportunity in equal measure.

NYES HR are proud to be an award winning, responsive and solution focussed service providing a high standard of professional HR Advisory support to over 450 educational settings.  Our customers include maintained schools, Multi Academy Trusts and Independent Schools predominantly across the North of England, with our income being 100% reliant on our customers choosing to buy into the provision.  As such, our practitioners need to have excellent commercial awareness; customer service and strong relationships are key to our success.

If you think you can help us to continue to make our mark at this exciting time and bring something special to our fantastic team then we would love to hear from you. In return, you can expect to be welcomed by a friendly, supportive, collaborative and dedicated team as well as fantastic clients.

The role is highly autonomous and we are searching for someone who can further build on our commercial success and be a real asset to the wider team.  Sector knowledge would be advantageous although not required.  What is of utmost importance is a strong moral purpose in making a difference to the education of the children and young people our clients serve.

This would be particularly suited to practitioners who thrive in a busy, varied and highly operational context.  You will act as lead professional and named contact for a portfolio of clients ranging from rural primary schools through to large secondary schools and some smaller Trusts.  You will manage the bulk of operational casework including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and restructuring as well as safeguarding allegations against staff.  You will be responsible for forging excellent relationships with your clients, understanding their individual needs and contexts in order to advise appropriate to varying contexts, policies and practices.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can play a lead role in policy, projects and client communication co-ordination for the team alongside an operational portfolio providing an excellent opportunity to expand your experience and work flexibly.  However, the proportionate split is something we would be open to discussion on with the successful applicant.

For an informal discussion regarding this role please contact Principal HR Advisors Mairi Reed mairi.reed@northyorks.gov.uk  or Julie Boucher Julie.Boucher1@northyorks.gov.uk .
