Are you passionate about supporting people to live independently and improve their wellbeing?
We’re looking for a dedicated Wellbeing Worker to join our Care and Support team within Health and Adult Services.
As a Wellbeing Worker, you’ll provide direct practical and emotional support to adults receiving social care. Working under the guidance of qualified professionals, you’ll help individuals identify recovery-focused goals and connect with community resources to enhance their sense of purpose, identity, and self-esteem.
You’ll support people with mental health needs, those accessing community social care, and individuals involved in intermediate care. Your role will include:
· Supporting daily living activities such as budgeting and domestic tasks.
· Encouraging involvement in meaningful activities and education.
· Promoting mental and physical health and wellbeing.
· Building therapeutic relationships and helping individuals access community networks.
· Acting as a safeguarding adult and responding to emergencies.
We’re seeking someone with:
· Experience in social care or community support settings.
· Knowledge of local services and referral pathways.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships.
· A Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), with a commitment to achieving Level 3.
· Confidence in using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
· A non-judgemental approach and commitment to equality and diversity.
A full enhanced DBS check is required. You must be able to travel independently across a rural area and be flexible to work outside normal business hours if needed.
