Recruiting Internationally is challenging and complex, and the increase in immigration has resulted in complexity in the social care labour market. Amidst the complexity there is an opportunity stabilise the labour market conditions, provide recruitment support service to the workers that have arrived in the UK, need to navigate the local labour market and need support to secure their long-term future in the sector.

In 2023/24 in Yorkshire and Humber £1.38m of funding was secured to help build capacity through ethical international recruitment that resulted in 382 bursaries being award  to Care providing organisation that employed and sponsored international workers.
